~CAPRICE~                                                      YOUNG DIVA FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY 
Caprice  is one of our young ladies who has shown perserverence in areas such as emotional & spiritual growth, academic improvement and passionate service to the community.  Caprice has far exceeded the requirements of Project DIVA to maintain a 2.o.  She currently holds a 3.26 GPA.   This is Caprice's third year with Project DIVA and at times her shyness seemed as if it would overtake her.  Her willingness to be free has allowed her to open up and her voice be heard. She continually calls on her DIVA Consultant and her peers in the program to help her understand her emotions over the loss of her beloved brother.  Like many other young ladies, life's trials can weigh heavy as they attempt to maintain their grades and make decisions that will bring them closer to independency as they go through high school.  Caprice is an overcomer and has yet to reach her peak in finding her inner beauty.   Project DIVA commends her for opening up many of our sessions with prayer, her strength,  and her leadership abilities as she continues on her journey in Project DIVA and through life. Caprice is a junior at Dunwoody Academy and her interest is in health care.  She is currently interning periodically at North Memorial Hospital through the Dunwoody Academy Technical program.  If you have any interest in career mentoring Caprice, please contact her DIVA Consultant - Sheila @ 612.360.4046. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

How Long

How long will I have to go through this?

This pain, game, frustration and lies you put me through.

The drama and arguing is not fun getting use to.

As much as it is to you.

How long do I have to wait?

For you to change your old wanting to be new ways.

For this phase in my life to get thrown away.

Away into the garbage where it’s suppose to be and stay.

How long do I have to go on?

Crying my eye’s out, just because you want change.

Draining myself with pain, confusion and drowsiness inside of my brain.

Hearing disturbing words come out the mouth I called mother.

How long is what I ask myself?

When looking in the mirror.

My mouth wide open for me to speak.

The words in my head are going to spill out so deep.

Not long, not long.

Very soon I will be gone.

Gone and grown all on my own.

Without the pain and games,

Just peace and happiness is where I’ll remain.
